For me, soapmaking was a hidden desire, a real treasure, I wasn't aware of. But after making my first cold-process (CP) soap I was hooked. This led to numerous bars of soap hanging around my house - too many for me and my husband to use. So I shared the soap with family and friends and to my amazement they loved it.
As I continued to make more soap, I wanted to incorporate more natural ingredients. I began a quest to research, learn about, and understand natural ingredients, their potential benefits, and how to use them. I began working with different carrier oils, essential oils, herbs, and other natural ingredients to enhance the soap. Then it hit me - everything God created was good! That's when I knew I needed to go back to the beginning.
The bible is my inspiration. When I make soap, body butter, lotion, or any other skin care product, I start at the beginning. I research the use of biblical resins, herbs, and infused oils and how they were used at that time. Who doesn't think of frankincense and myrrh when you mention biblical scents. But what about cinnamon, myrtle, anise, or mint? The list goes on. These natural ingredients were used for healing, fragrance, anointing, and more.
For every product you experience at Eternal Soapourri, we hope the scents and fragrances of long ago will exhilarate, refresh, calm, and sooth your mind.
